Ms. Hall

Welcome

About Ms. Hall

I am an individual extremely passionate about education and deeply committed to supporting students with IEPs and learners who are performing below grade level. Throughout my work as a substitute teacher, tutor, systems trainer, home school educator, special education teacher, and curriculum developer, I have seen firsthand how the right instruction, patience, and consistency can help struggling students build real skills and lasting confidence.

I understand the daily demands of homeschooling and special education: differentiating instruction, aligning to standards, supporting IEP goals, and creating routines and materials that actually work. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to students served in Learning Centers, Special Day Classes (SDC), and other specialized instructional settings.

Over the years, I have seen far too many students in special education defined by test scores, reports, and labels rather than by their true abilities. Many of these students are assessed constantly, but challenged rarely. Instruction often focuses on managing behavior and monitoring progress instead of building confidence, independence, and academic strength.

Our students deserve more......

A Moment That Changed Everything

One experience reshaped how I viewed my role as an educator.  I was told that a student could not read at grade level, could not use the restroom independently, and needed frequent breaks throughout the day. These conclusions were based on past data and reports.

When I provided clear instruction, consistent expectations, and meaningful support, a different story emerged.  He became one of the strongest readers in the class.  He demonstrated independence in daily routines.  Within one month, he was engaged and productive throughout the school day.

The student did not change.
The environment did.
The expectations did.
The instruction did.

A Student-Centered Philosophy

That experience reinforced what I believe at my core.  Students in specialized programs are capable of far more than they are often given the opportunity to show.  Through my work, I developed the S.T.U.D.E.N.T. Lens™ Framework, a student-centered approach that helps educators and families understand the whole learner and design instruction that builds skill, confidence, and independence.

This framework considers student voice, task demands, underlying skills, contextual data, engagement, natural supports, and the gradual development of independence. It guides every instructional decision I make.

My Professional Journey

My background is diverse, but it is united by one purpose: helping people grow.  I have supported teens preparing for GED exams, helping them turn setbacks into progress. I have worked with adults to build computer literacy and entrepreneurship skills through Microsoft Office and Google Workspace training.

One of my most meaningful experiences was homeschooling my grandson. Watching his curiosity grow and seeing what happens when learning is tailored to the child deepened my commitment to individualized support.

My time as a special education teacher strengthened that commitment even further and clarified my mission: to advocate for students who are too often underestimated and underchallenged.

Student & Educator Support Services

This vision led me to create my Student and Educator Support Services.  In addition to providing personalized tutoring, I support educators with the behind-the-scenes work that often takes time away from students. This includes organization systems, lesson planning support, and the creation of forms, visuals, parent-friendly handouts, data tools, and instructional templates.  My goal is to help reduce the clerical burden so teachers can focus on what matters most: teaching and supporting learners.

My Mission

My approach is personalized, patient, and practical.  I meet each learner where they are. I build skills step by step.
I promote confidence and independence.  I protect student dignity.  Whether working with students, families, or educators, my mission remains the same:

  • To expand opportunity.

  • To close learning gaps.

  • To change trajectories.
