Data-Driven Instruction
Turn student data into clear, confident instructional decisions
Data-Driven Instruction for K–5 Educators is designed to help teachers move beyond collecting data to actually using it in meaningful, practical ways. Many educators have access to student data but are not always shown how to apply it to daily instruction. This course focuses on turning assessment results, observations, and classroom performance into clear instructional decisions that support student growth.

Through simple systems and real classroom examples, educators will learn how to identify skill gaps, adjust instruction, and monitor progress without feeling overwhelmed. Grounded in the S.T.U.D.E.N.T. Lens™ Framework, this course helps you see data as a tool for understanding the whole child, not just numbers on a report.
Participants explore how to organize and interpret different types of data, identify patterns and skill gaps, and connect findings directly to lesson planning and instruction. The course also focuses on adjusting instruction for diverse learners, including students with IEPs, and creating simple systems for ongoing progress monitoring. At the center of the course is the development of a personalized Data Tracking and Instruction System, a streamlined approach that helps educators consistently use data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
