Complimentary 45-Student Insight Session
Getting to Know Your Learner Before Tutoring Begins
Every student is different, and effective tutoring should begin with an understanding of the learner; not simply their grade level or the work they are struggling to complete
The Student Insight Session is a complimentary 45-minute session designed to help me learn more about your child’s current academic needs, strengths, challenges, and goals before tutoring begins.
This session gives your child an opportunity to become comfortable with me and allows us to begin building the foundation for personalized support.
What to Expect
The session includes time with both the parent or caregiver and the student.
We’ll briefly discuss your concerns, your child’s school experience, and what you hope tutoring will help them accomplish. Your child will then spend time working with me individually so I can better understand their current learning needs.
This is not a pass-or-fail test, and your child does not need to prepare or study beforehand. The goal is simply to determine where support may be most helpful.
Before Your Session
If available, you are welcome to bring or share information that may help provide additional context, such as:
-
Recent schoolwork or progress reports
-
Assessment results
-
An IEP, 504 Plan, or other learning support information
-
Teacher feedback
-
Specific academic concerns or goals you would like to discuss
These materials are helpful but are not required to participate in the session.
After the Student Insight Session
After the session, I will use what I learned to determine an appropriate starting point and recommend a personalized approach for tutoring.
If you decide to move forward, your child’s instruction may include one or more of the Learning Paths, depending on their individual needs and goals.
There is no obligation to enroll in tutoring after the session. You will have the opportunity to review the recommendation and decide whether Ms. Hall’s Student & Educator Support is the right fit for your family.
Every learner deserves a thoughtful starting point. The Student Insight Session helps us find it.
